We design low-noise fans for you
Axial Fan Design
Typically we use this fan type for high flow at low pressure. Many micro electronics cooling applications fall into this category. We have developed numerous patents to improve their performance. To the left we show fan blades with ‘step-tripping’. This strategy helps to recharge the boundary layer with turbulent energy before the flow separates. Thereby the aerodynamic efficiency is increased and noise is reduced. It was implemented in the famous SForce-Panther axial fan series by ebmpapst.
The success of this design is shown as it was copied and carried over to radial fans by other parties.
Radial Fans
These fans are utilized for high-pressure low-flow applications. For improved performance, they can be fitted with splitter blades at variable blade loadings. The fans are housed by a volute. It efficiently collects the radial air flow, converts its kinetic energy into pressure and redirects the flow into an tube.
The fan shown to the right was developed for the most widely used ventilator to support patients suffering from COVID-19. It is manufactured by ebmpapst and used by many medical equipment manufacturers in their ventilators.
